How To Add Users Or Grant Access To Your Google Ads Account

If you manage a Google Ads account and need to give someone else access to it, there are a few steps you can follow in granting them the appropriate level of access.

  1. Sign in to your Google Ads account.
  2. Click on the “Tools and Settings” button with the wrench icon in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Click on “Access and security” under the setup menu.
  4. Enter the email address of the person you want to give access.
  5. Select the level of access you want to grant them. Google Ads offers five levels of access:
  • Standard: This level of access allows the user to view and edit all aspects of the account except for the billing settings.
  • Basic: This level of access allows the user to view and edit most aspects of the account, but they cannot add or delete users or change the account’s billing settings.
  • Read-only: This level of access allows the user to view the account, but they cannot make any changes.
  • Email Only: This access level in Google Ads is a special access level that allows a user to receive email notifications about the account but does not grant them any access to the account itself.
  • Billing: This level of access allows the user to view and edit the account’s billing settings, but they cannot make any other changes to the account.
  1. Click “Send invitation.” The user will receive an email with instructions on how to accept the invitation and gain access to the account.
  2. Once the user has accepted the invitation, they will be able to access the account according to the level of access you have granted them. You can view and manage the users with access to your account by going to the “Access and security” section in your Google Ads account.

It’s important to consider the level of access you grant to users carefully. If you are giving access to someone who will be managing the account on your behalf, you should grant them Standard or Basic access.

If you are giving access to someone who only needs to view the account, consider granting them Read-only access.

Granting access to a Google Ads account is a simple process.

By carefully considering the level of access you grant to users, you can ensure that your account is managed effectively and securely.
